Jim retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller. His career spanned 29 years and included Albuquerque Center, Miami Center and Houston Center. He has been a resident of Willis, Texas for 38 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Martha Olson of Olustee, Oklahoma, sister; Elmeda Payne and husband Buck Payne of Altus, Oklahoma, and brother in-law; James Jacobs of Windthorst, Texas, Jim is survived by his wife; Carol Sue Olson, daughter; Niki Palestina and husband Bob, son; Aaron Olson and wife Cathy, grandson; Mark, sister; Mary Jacobs of Windthorst, Texas, brother; Phil Olson and wife Glynna of Olustee, Oklahoma. Jim is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Memorial service for Jimmy E. Olson will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3:00pm.
