John Warren White

John and Carolyn Cleveland were married on December 17, 1960 at Graveston Baptist Church in Corryton, Tennessee. John was a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, class of 1961. He then started his career working for Pure Oil Company. Pure Changed to Union 76 and then changed to Unocal during his 32 years. John, Carol and their daughters were transferred many times in those 32 years with the final transfer bringing them to Conroe, TX. in 1984. After his retirement from Unocal, John then continued his career in the oil business at Vision Resources in Houston until his official retirement in 1997. In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching University of Tennessee football and Fox News.

John is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Ray) Newcomer of Conroe TX, Lynda White (Bill Conner) of Carrollton, TX and Karen (Nathan) Ivy of Splendora, TX. Papa’s grandchildren Thomas Borowski II, John (Breezi) Borowski, Nicole (Karla) Ivy and Bradley (Kayla) Ivy, great-grandchildren Bethany, Jackson and Sarah Hoke, Owen Borowski and Isabella Prado. Also nephews Randall (Jen) King and Rodney (Julie) King of Roanoke, VA, as well as several other nieces, nephews, in-laws and lifelong friends.

John is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Cleveland White, grandson Jeffery Hoke, great granddaughter Adeline Kay Borowski, Parents John and Mabel White and sister and brother in law, Cynthia and Vic King.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 1:00pm in Garden Park Cemetery with visitation one hour prior to service at Cashner Funeral Home. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cashnerconroe.com for the White family.
