Josh was a loving husband, father, son, and Christian. He glorified God and shared His word with others around him whenever he could. By trade he was an Air Traffic Controller for 17 years, a career he began in the United States Navy. He was a member of both the National Air Traffic Controller Association and the Black Coalition.
He enjoyed cooking bar-b-que, especially if he could bring everyone together to eat it. Josh always wanted to make you laugh, make things better. He also liked working on cars and collecting shoes and guns.
Josh was a GREAT dad and made playing with his kids a staple of their life.
Josh is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Andrea, children Delilah, Sophia, and Michael, his mother Patricia Etherton, her husband Terry, In-laws Raymond and Ginger Bailey, Sister-in-law Samantha, her husband Andres Vallejo, and niece Gracie Vallejo, sister in law Simone Tamez and nephew Ryan Casanova, father Stephen Alderete and wife Sehila, sister Aseneth Alderete, brothers Colby Etherton, Robert Etherton, and Stephen Alderete, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Restoration Church in Montgomery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Silver, Preston Bartlett, Isaac Alderete, Justin Alderete, Raymond Bailey, Terry Etherton, Colby Etherton and Robert Etherton.
