his three children, and his parents. He was born on March 29, 1975, in Houston, TX to Louis
Jeffrey and Brenda Mcdowell Jeffrey. Joshua was the oldest child and grandchild in the family.
On June 19, 1999, Joshua married his best friend, Jennifer Kelly. From this union, three
children were born, Patrick, Hannah, and Rachael. Joshua spent 22 years in the Navy having
been stationed in Puerto Rico, Norfolk VA (USS Eisenhower), Biloxi, MS, Sasebo, Japan ( USS
Essex), Yokosuka, Japan (USS George Washington). Finally, he retired at Whidbey Island, WA
in 2016 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Josh returned to Montgomery, TX after retirement to finish raising his children. He
continued his skill as a calibration technician at Transcat of Houston. While Josh excelled at his
military career and at Transcat, his greatest love was his wife and children.
Joshua loved cooking on his smoker, fishing, and working outside. He was an avid
gardener with a green thumb. He loved working on his grandparent’s land when he came home
for visits.
Josh is preceded in death by grandparents Dee and Carrie Mcdowell. Joshua is survived by his
wife, Jennifer, and children Patrick, Hannah, and Rachael. Parents Zeke and Brenda Jeffrey,
Sisters Sarah Jeffrey Clements and family, Rebecca Jeffrey Babik and family.
A visitation for Joshua will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM. Joshua will be given full military honors with a private burial at a later date. Everyone is welcome to attend and the family asks that you wear a mask.
