Born December 20th, 1942 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Judy graduated from Central Daulphin High School. She went on to work as a dental assistant but was inspired to pursue aviation by a favorite uncle who was a pilot. Judy took flying lessons at a local flight school but ultimately decided to become a stewardess for Eastern Airlines. It was there that she met a young pilot on a night flight who would be the love of her life, Larry Vinther. Together they had a beautiful 55 years together, raising three children, and later enjoying time with their four grandchildren. They loved to travel, went on over 80 cruises together all over the world, and bought a summer home in Canada where they loved hosting family and friends.
Judy was exceedingly kind and generous, making friends everywhere she went with her gentle nature. She was a regular member of Conroe Church of Christ for 48 years with many cherished friends there. Before Larry’s passing, he and Judy had moved to The Conservatory at Alden Bridge where she made even more friends. Judy remained active almost until the end, enjoying her weekly painting classes, water aerobics, and just generally being a social butterfly.
Judy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. She will be missed by so many.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her Father Rollin, her Mother Viola and her brother in law Owen. She leaves behind her sister Joyce (Jack), brother Sam (Marilyn), sister Beth (Dave), sister Gail (Jeff), brother David (Judy), sister in law Sue, son Kevin (Laura), daughter Stacie (Brett), daughter Victoria (Chris), grandson Kile, granddaughter Alexis, grandson Nicholas, grandson Lucas, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
