Myself and the deer lease group sure miss Larry and his wit, stories, wisdom, and jokes! You will be forever remembered around our campfire! 

Larry was enrolled and attended a 6 month Management  Development Program at Harvard Business School "HBS"  in the year 1981.  Larry was in our small study group.  We wanted to visit the Harvard Library which was across the river from  HBS.  
Our group of five crossed over to the Harvard campus and Larry asked a  freshman Harvard student, "Can you tell us where the Library is at ..." The student replied, "At Harvard  we do not end a sentence with a preposition."  Larry, "You did not let me finish the sentence." The student asked, "What was the sentence?"  From Larry, "Can you tell us where the Library is at,  asshole?" The students walked off.

I had the privilege of working for Larry at Lufkin.  He was a great leader, mentor and friend.  All of us that worked for him would have done anything for him because we all knew that he also had our backs.  I think I learned more under Larry than from anyone else in my career and try to pass along those learnings even today.   Laura and I extend our deepest sympathies to Debbie and the rest of the family.   

Larry was a great friend. He brought me to Singapore in 1977 and that was probably the most fun on the job that I ever experienced. I will not forget the memories - and the opportunities that Larry helped me obtain. My best wishes for the family - Debbie, Kim and Ashley during this time. We have lost a truly great person. 

Larry and I solved many of the world problems and swapped stories on his back porch at the lake.  With each glass of whiskey or wine, the solutions were more creative and stories more embellished.  I learned a lot from Larry and always respected his opinion.  I never met a person who didn't like him.

Larry a good good man, a great friend and neighbor.  I miss him tremendously.

What do you say about someone that you’ve known for 68 years, that you made so many memories with becomes a memory.  I have so many memories of Larry that it would fill a book.  One thing that everyone that knew Larry would agree to is that he loved life and lived it to the fullest.  
Larry was much like a brother, not only to me but to my entire family.  Anytime we went hunting, fishing, camping or just a night of playing poker Larry was always included. He was always just so much fun to have around.
Larry was always willing to do anything and everything he possibly could to help anyone that needed any kind of help. I am extremely proud and happy to have known Larry for all these years. 
Until we meet on the other side Rest In Peace my friend.   I loved you like a brother and I’m going to miss you tremendously.

Larry was one of the best leaders we had at Lufkin and a joy to work for. We all miss those days and the time we had when he lead Oilfield at Lufkin. Larry would hold sales meeting and always accused of us of sand bagging our revenue estimates. Most of my presentations he would take his shoe off while I was talking and hold it upside down like he had sand in his shoe. He was great leader and brought a lot of fun into the work place. We learned a lot from Larry and will miss him and thank him for the guidance he gave us.

Larry and I grew up on the same street in Austin and even though I was a year older than Larry we, after a period of time became very close friends and remained so until the very end.

Larry was the best kind of a person that Antony could have as a friend.  I was extremely happy that I got to visit with him a couple weeks ago when I was in Conroe.  Even though we hadn’t seen each other in a while knowing that I will not be able to see him now sucks.  I’m going to miss him very much.
Larry until we meet on the other side Rest In Peace.  If you see Jeanie give her a hug, tell her I still love her and I hopefully I will see both of you in the future.  Until then take care my friend.

Larry was an even younger engineer than me when he joined Cameron.  He was always well liked because he was a fun-loving guy with a good sense of humor.  I remember he had an old Corvair that was quite ragged with a  hole in the driver's floor big enough that carpet was hanging out.  We told him that carpet was going to hang on something and pull the car inside out.  He said when he drove past a wrecking yard he had to fight the wheel to keep it from turning in.  I was only there 9 years so I haven't seen Larry for more than 40 years, but I understand he went on to be very successful at Cameron. Many blessings, Larry.

So sorry about Larry but he did the right thing. Us guys at the deer lease miss him so much. It's just not the same around the fire pit without Larry and his "wisdom"…. every time I go up the stairs and use the "Hoes Rail" I will think about Larry. Hope they serve Bull shots in heaven!! RIP LH. 


Dear Ashley and family. I am so sorry about the lose of your Dad. I know how much you love him and how your heart hurts losing him. He is now happy and at peace in heaven with Jesus. He will always be with you and will be watching out for you all. With deepest sympathy

Debbie and Larry were very good friends to my wife’s parents, Carol and Butch. Debbie and Larry quickly became my favorite friends of my in-laws and even attended my wedding. There are people in this world that make you smile when you are in their  company and Larry was one of those people. Over the past twenty five  years I became closer & closer to Larry by spending many hours around a fire pit telling jokes, and sipping whiskey  or by helping out with a deer blind that had all the creature comforts of home. We told jokes that were in very poor taste but were for our ears only, we shared stories of life no matter how private or personal and it was always fully understood that “what happens at the lease, stays at the lease”. 

What a gift God gave to me to be able to spend time with a person of this world that always made me smile. I will miss you so much Larry. Please tell God the goat joke, he’ll love it.

Larry was my first cousin. I haven’t seen him in over 50 years but  I spent every summer at Aunt Frances and Uncle Buddy’s house in Austin. He was always my favorite cousin.The last time I seen him was he still in college him and Debbie where not married yet . They came to Dallas and visited mom and daddy

Wow, I’m at a loss for words as I get this news at our deer lease in Johnson City on the LO ranch were Larry loved to be with all of us friends who will miss him, his wisdom, his stories, advice and humor. There will always be a place at our fire pit for our memory of him. Class act and finer then a ............. coming from the guy who Larry would ask me, LANCE what’s wrong with your eyes??

Sure going to miss him and his goat joke amongst other funny stories around the fire pit, especially when new folks would join in. He always made everyone feel welcome.
