Leonard Burnam Tolliver

Leonard served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1951 to 1959. He was a Journeyman Machinist and also drove an 18 wheeler for many years. He retired as a machinist in 2006. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church serving as head usher and a trustee. He could make anything and fix anything that needed to be fixed. He loved John Wayne movies and reading Louis Lamour books. He also enjoyed bowling and was on a league for many years,

He is survived by his wife, Marie Tolliver of Conroe, TX; his daughters Terri Lawson and her husband Stan of Crawfordsville, IN, Chris Irvin and her husband John of Crawfordsville, IN and Jessi Ragsdale and her husband Tony of Pasadena, TX; stepson David Mitchell and his wife Katie of The Woodlands, TX; sisters Della Mae Hockett of Waveland, IN and Mary Lee Huff of Louisville, KY; brother-in-law Joe Vasek and his and his wife Gail of Round Rock, TX; and his mother-in-law Vera Vasek of Conroe, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11:30AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1100 West Semands Avenue, Conroe, TX. Rev. Cindy Hinson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX.
