Loretta Kay DeMarino Clark, age 81, died on February 29th, 2024, at approximately 3 pm in the arms of her sons, and surrounded by her grandchildren. The cause of death was a severe lung infection as a result of radiation damage to her lungs while undergoing radiation treatment for Breast Cancer.
Born in Altoona PA on December 21st, 1942, to mother Esther Sinclair DeMarino and father Clarence DeMarino senior. Sister of Clarence “Sonny” DeMarino Jr, George DeMarino, Edward DeMarino, and Joseph DeMarino. She was raised by Thomas Sinclair Jr, and Geneva Sendzik Sinclair of Portage, PA.
Preceded in death by husband, CPO James Wesley Clark Sr, her parents, Clarence and Esther DeMarino, Thomas and Geneva Sinclair, her beloved children, son Wayne Alan Gibbons, and daughter, Dawn Renee Gibbons Pickett, stepdaughter Lori Lynn Clark, brothers Clarence DeMarino, Edward DeMarino, George DeMarino, Joseph DeMarino, James Sinclair, sister Sharon Sinclair, and half-sister Laura Mock of Altoona PA.
She is survived by her beloved companion of 20 years Alton Briggs, her son Bruce L Gibbons junior, and Glenn R Gibbons, half sister Helen Hollingshead of Altoona PA, stepdaughter Michelle Clark. Grandchildren Tina Neely, Megan Neely, Matthew Sullivan, Jessica Neely, Brianna K Morrell, Enrique Morrell and his wife Crystal Morrell, Jillian Clark Charles and her husband Nico Charles, Amanda Gibbons and her husband Andrew Kotasek, Mackenzie Gibbons, Mackayla Gibbons, Matisyn Gibbons. Great grandchildren Jack and Wyatt Wells, Finn and Jonah Kotasek, Madeline and Jade Neely, and Emma Sullivan, all of Texas.
After graduating from Portage high school in 1961 she moved to Washington DC where she worked as a telephone operator for Ma Bell and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield before moving to Alabama and then settling in Texas. Loretta also worked as a bartender and caterer in Texas for over 43 years.
Loretta was known by Dee by her many friends and by nanny to her family. The mountains of Pennsylvania were always in her heart. Her favorite things to do were traveling, camping, crafts, animals, and spending time with her family. The most rewarding part of her life was her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Loretta will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303.
