Lyle Robert Hill, born on February 28, 1964, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 61. A resident of Willis, Texas, Lyle will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his zest for life.
Lyle grew up in Pasadena, Texas, where he graduated from Pasadena High School. He achieved the significant milestone of being the first person in his family to obtain a degree, earning a Bachelor’s from Sam Houston State University.
His career spanned the oil and gas industry, where he worked as a safety administrator for TETRA TECHNOLOGIES. In his later years, he contributed to the community by providing training for childcare providers alongside his wife in a company they created, Tick Tock Training.
Lyle was married to Vicki Hill for 37 years. He is survived by his children: Joshua Hill and wife Carey, Nicholas Hill, Morgan Hill, and Matthew Hill and partner Briana. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Ella Boyle, Solon Boyle, Norah Hill, Emma Gonzales, Hazel Prado, and Elliott Hill. He is also survived by his step-father, George Matthews, and his siblings: Denise Hill, Darrell Matthews and wife Fe, and Theresa Tytell and husband Jonathan, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lyle had a passion for riding his motorcycle, affectionately named "Cherry," and completed thousands of miles on expeditions such as Tail of the Dragon, Twisted Sisters, and the Devil's Backbone, as well as completing Bun Burners in 24 hours. He enjoyed reading Stephen King novels while relaxing in the hot tub, engaging in DIY projects, and spending cherished time with his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in his memory.
A memorial service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, located at 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on January 3, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. If you are in the Hill family, please plan to arrive at 5:00 pm so that maybe you can be on time. Following the memorial service, a reception will take place at the same location.
