Marlin Ray Jones

A beloved husband of 59 years to Martha Jones, and father of 3 children, Mike and Brenda Jones of Conroe, Beverly Koerner of Conroe, and Jim and Carol Locke of Mabank, Texas. Caring Grandfather to Nathan and wife Mandy, Michael and wife Heather, Neal and wife Misty, Jacob, Jeanne, Ryan, Sara and Jace. Treasured Great Grandfather to Addison, Camryn, Chloe, Brantley, Trey, Tommi, Lane, Carter, Scarlett , and Quin .

Preceded in death by his parents Roy and Mittie Jones.

Survived by 6 younger brothers and sisters, Fred and Bobbie Jones, Charles and Cosetta Jones, Barbara Pruitt, Florine and Jimmy Wright, Wayne Jones, Linda and Larry Cunningham, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Marlin was well known and admired as the owner of several beauty salons over the past 38 years in Greenville and Conroe Texas. Most recently he was a proud member of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department where he retired after 15 years of service as a Detention Officer. Furthermore, he was a decorated Navy Service member, an avid Steel Guitar musician and teacher to many, as well as a Christian patriarch to a large family.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Robbins, Neal Locke, Jacob Koerner, Ryan Locke, Nathan Smith and Johnny Holbert

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2015, in the Cashner Colonial Chapel, Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, for Friends and Relatives from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2015 in the Cashner Colonial Chapel at 10:00am. Graveside Services will be at Conroe Memorial Mausoleum immediately afterwards. You are invited to view our webpage and leave written tributes to the family at cashnerconroe.com
