Melba being married to an army soldier spent her life traveling a living in different states and countries. She enjoyed taking care of babies and toddlers everywhere she lived; these little ones brought her great joy. Melba loved Christmas time and decorating for it with lots of lights, baking, listening to Christmas music and visiting with friends and family, and celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Melba loved to garden and sew and enjoyed listening to country music. One of her favorite activities was traveling with her husband Ray in their RV, which they did for many years.
Having her family all together was also a treat for her and would always make her smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claud and Lola Mae. Melba is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, 8months, and 19 days, Ray Preas, their children Melissa Gawlik and husband David, Penny Niesen and husband Pat, and Kenneth Preas, grandchildren Allan Wayne Stevens, Sara Marie Davis and husband Brandon, Erik Lynn Broussard, and Scharlette Scharlene Miller, and 3 Great Grandsons.
