Melinda "Mindy" Sue Gilliland

Mindy worked as a Butcher at Shoppe's in Somerville and then Smith’s Nursery in Willis for many years where she enjoyed growing and delivering plants to the surrounding areas. Her last and most rewarding job was driving a school bus for Conroe ISD. She loved working with the handicapped children that she would transport to and from school and finally retired after 14yrs . She always enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, she also enjoyed the special girls day out trips that her and her friends would take, she loved her trip to Cabo and she also enjoyed reading, fishing and trying out new recipes.

Mindy is survived by her husband Bobby, children Kenneth Law and wife Andy, Korina Hebrew, D'Anna Garza and husband Ruben, Dee Dee Norris, Bobby Gilliland, David Gilliland, James Lloyd Gilliland, and Billy Wayne Gilliland, sister Alice Roberts, grandchildren Austin Law, Amanda Harrison and spouse Torrey, Josh Flores and spouse Lexxy, Darian Jurries, Ashley Fullen, Ronnie Fullen and wife Shania, Erik Garza, Lindsey Holmes and spouse Brandon, Melanie Norris, and Kyle Norris, great grandchildren Korbin, Bailey, Memphis, Jaiden, Ariana, Izabella, Daniella, Jaidynn, Brandon, Tucker, Brexley, and Jaxon, nephews Donald Stubblefield, Steven McGill and wife Autumn, and numerous other family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father “Slim” Davis, brothers Nelson Lasiter and Herbert Lasiter, and son-in-law Jack Hebrew.

A Celebration of Mindy’s life will be held at Cashner Funeral home in Conroe on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
