Melvin Lee Russell

He was born in Wichita Falls and was one of 7 kids. He moved to Conroe 40 years ago. He worked in construction most of his life. He loved music of all kinds, he liked to watch football every Sunday and have friends and family over to BBQ. He was fun to be around and he loved many friends that will miss him dearly.

Mel is preceded in death by father Robert Russell, mother Georgia Hamilton Russell, brother Glynn Russell (Bucher) and his granddaughter Camilla Rose Cannon.

He was survived by wife Tammy Russell, sister and brothers, Susan Wynell (Sunshine), Georgia Mercer, Fay Russell, Wesley Russell and Booby and wife Doreen Russell, children and grandchildren Amande McBee, Amber and husband Keno Sunderland, Ashley and husband Travis Keith, Chad Cannon, Ryan and wife Sarah Wilgers. He was blessed with grandchildren Lance and Lana Hodges, Dylan, Keno and Emily Sunderland, Sebastian Flores, Tyler Keith, Nora Keith, Caedon Cannon, Clayton Cannon and Alana Wilgers and great grandchildren Twins Spencer and Fallon Divalentone.

A celebration of life for Mel will be held on September 9, 2023, at the VFW hall in Conroe, TX from 11:00am-3:00pm.
