Memorial service for Olivia Tijerina will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, Texas with Father Loc Phan officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Olivia was born Marh 2, 1935 in Brownsville, Texas to Casmiro Mendez and Maria Louisa Sanchez and passed away on July 10, 2011 in Spring, Texas. Olivia enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. Olivia is survived by her daughters, Elena Canul and husband Lee Weishiemer and Maria Ramirez and husband Ruben, sisters, Maria Louisa DeLeon and Josephine Martinez, grandchildren, Jenney Ramirez, Stephen Ramirez, Amy Canul, Arnold Canul and Andrea Canul, 5 great grandchildren. Numerous other family and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be Lee Weishiemer, Ruben Ramirez, Stephen Ramirez, Arnold Canul, Gilbert DeLeon and Joseph DeLeon.
