

Passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 18, 1929 in Ranger, Texas. Pat grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and eventually settled in the Conroe area in the late 60’s. She graduated from San Jacinto Jr. College with a degree in nursing. Pat spent many years serving her community and touching the lives of all she came in contact with. Pat was one of the founders of the Jack and Jill School for Special Needs Children in Conroe. Pat’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her children and their families; daughter, Pat Parks of Conroe, TX; daughter, Barbara Shelton and husband, Lee of Richmond, TX; son, Lee Scott and wife Brenda of Albuquerque, N.M.; and daughter, Sandy Patterson and husband Bill of Conroe, TX and their father, Lee Scott of Huntsville, TX. Pat is also survived by her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many friends and extended family. Pat had a real zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor and fun. She was the life of the party. One of her most favorite things to do was spend time fishing with her husband, Shorty, and they did that every opportunity they had. Pat also enjoyed her Red Hat Society and regular card games with her friends. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Conroe, TX and most currently a member of First Presbyterian Church Sugar Land. There will be a visitation with the family at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church Sugar Land, 502 Eldridge Rd., Sugar Land, Texas.
