I miss you more and more everyday… I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you again …

Today makes a year since your beautiful soul left us to be with the Lord.  Everyday gets a little harder, really needing our phone conversations right about now… I really miss you.  I can’t wait till I see you again… love you, peewee 

It’s a couple of days late (only because I got sick sick) but here goes…

Since the day I was born you have always been my Santa Claus… so this Christmas was so hard for me… I don’t understand how people can just get up and go on with their lives as if you weren’t apart of it (I see who was truly for the poppy and who wasn’t).  Because for me, the only thing keeping me going just day by day is knowing what you told me… (the best of nan and you run wildly through my veins)!  Christmas was always our thing… we would have to sneak off so you could sing to me but I didn’t care because I knew those moments was ours forever.  You said I was your greatest love… a bond never broken until it was time for you to go home.  I am proud to be apart of your life,  I watched you turn from a good man into a great one and now the greatest man I will have ever known…  I love you Daddy and Merry Christmas! Give hugs and kisses to everyone up there with you.  

Happy heavenly Father’s Day to truly one of the greatest… you carried the weight of the world on your shoulders everyday and we never saw it,  you never let us.   I will forever be great full for everyday you spent your extra time on us we love you so much…  I hope you feel this hug and kiss I am sending specially to you today,  cause I love ya!  

Today has been one of the hardest days of my life… it’s the first time in my life I didn’t get to hear you say “happy birthday peewee”.   I feel so lost with out you,  poppy as many times as I talked to you in a day and now it’s silent.  I love you so much and miss you even bigger. 

Do to the call every year... I am hoping you get this in heaven but I am so proud of you and I love you so big... happy Memorial Day poppy 

Roger yesterday was your special day.  I know your first birthday in Heaven was grand. I miss you and somedays are harder than others. Everyday at work I see your smiling face and I hear you telling me, "Hang on,  God has a plan.  Keep your trust in him. Hold your head up and be faithful." So many things have crossed my mind,  I sometimes think I'm having a bad dream and I'm gonna wake up in a minute.  Then sometimes I think I hear you walking down the hall. Then there's those times I wish we would have talked more, if nothing else about the little things.  But most of all,  it's the times I think about standing at the stove and cooking,  then you craning your head around trying to see what I was doing.  You always told me, things I just made up were good and different.  At least neither of us or any body else ever got sick. My heart wants to ask God "Why is this happening,  but my spirit says, wait on the Lord to make the way perfect. " I know your body and mind are whole,  and the choir is glad you're finally there.  I miss that too. When we both were down, we would sing hymns or choruses and just flat outright sing ourselves happy. I  love you and that spot you had when I was younger grew to cover my whole heart. No one will ever know the emptiness I feel.  Just know I love you,  I miss you and I don't understand. But in God's time I will.  Until we meet again,  be the greatest you can be, tell all our church family I love them.  Tell our moms, dads, and siblings too. I'll see you one day,  and until then I will continue to miss and love you.  

This has got to be the hardest day yet... I remember a conversation we had about my new calendar and you told me not to write your birthday down for this year... I don’t know why you would do that silly it’s always gonna be your birthday... and I am always gonna celebrate it... one of the best days of my year,  my Poppy’s birthday... I love and miss you more than you will ever know and while looking through some photos to make you a collage I found a couple of your old notes and made me happy sad and laugh out loud all that the same time... to know you was a blessing but to be a part of you is something on A whole Nother level  it’s something I will always be proud of... I want you to know you weren’t just an amazing son, brother, dad, uncle, cousin, grandpa, great grandpa￼￼ or a friend but the love you had for God and your undivided faith even after everything you had been through and over came; one of our last conversations you told me “Baby God has always been real good to me,” Poppy you were so impressionable￼￼.  There was never going to be enough time with you: to thank you, to learn from you, to be a part of you 🦬🤍❤️🤍🦬 I will forever be great full... so a huge happy birthday to Our Poppy in heaven... Uncle Roger was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He genuinely cared about people. He loved his family and was a great example of what a man of God should be. He represented God in all that he did. He understood people and would always help when they were down or broken. He lifted people up. I will miss him very much . I know he is rejoicing with the Lord and I look forward to the day I will see him again.

My dearest Roger,  I don't know where to begin.  You've had a special place in my heart for probably close to 50 years or more. I remember you when I was a young child, way too young to know the ways and means of adulthood.  I secretly loved you for a long time.  I remember laying in bed and both of us confessing we had the same secret. I remember when we were talking and you asked me if for sure I was going to marry you.  I told you yes and my conditions.  They were all about church.  I remember you said you wished someone would have told you that 20 years before.  You told me you wouldn't have wasted half your life.  I remember you told me we finally got it right, marrying each other.  I remember when you told me that you lost the desire to hunt for love, when I told you I would marry you.  You said you knew then God was first and foremost in your life.  God has blessed us, even when it looked grim. You would always say, baby it's gonna be alright,  just remember to thank God for the blessing. I will miss you coming to bed after me,  crawling into bed and kissing me,  then asking are you awake. I would always ask you,  what do you think. Then we would lay there and talk awhile.  I remember nights of talking 2 or 3 hours.  We talked about all kinds of things,  family, church, ourselves,  and shed a few tears. You will always be my love and I still want this dance for the rest of my life. 

My condolences to the family. He was 2 of my grandbabies Great Grandfather. I meet him a hand full of times. He always had a smile on his face and kind words. Always willing to help in any way he could. You will be missed my many. Rest in peace "Poppy"

What do you think of when you hear the name Roger W Babb senior ..... well for me personally I think of a loving caring ....wonderful man and all in all I just felt blessed to be in his company ....unfortunately I only got to know Roger for about a year and a half but I will forever hold the memories I do have of him close to my heart one particular memory is the one where him and his wife introduced me to the man that God sent my way Paul Wilhite thank you Roger and Carlene I will forever be grateful until we meet again Roger you will not be forgotten and you will be very missed💕

Uncle Roger there are so many memories to many to pick just one but you were such a sweet man and always had a smile and encouraging words to say when we needed it you loved your family so much and it truly shows. You will be greatly missed...

Roger you were one of the greats! My family has known you so many years. You always were the sweetest person to everyone, my kids adored you, you will be missed ! Always had a joke, a smile, and a hug for everyone. 

Poppy, I'm honestly lost for words still. We just talked about nature, fishing and walking the river to find dinosaur bones. I loved the fact you never judged anyone and truly seen the good in them. I never had a grandfather and you gave that experience I'll never forget. I remember standing in the yard one day while David and Leslie were cutting down one of the trees and we giggled at the way they were handling the whole situation. Lol. We love and miss you Poppy. 

Roger, I remember our childhood memories with great fondness. I remember a time when I was going through some great pain and stress, you sat by my bed and prayed for me, I told you to go and get some rest, you said when my happy sister, gets out of that bed and has a cup of coffee with me. Thank you. You have always been my Hero of happiness and Love,  my Hero for fighting for our freedom. I Thank You ,that I have said a million times.  Roger, there are a lot of things to thank you for. my children love you they think you hung the moon, your love toward everyone you met. Tell Mom and Dad, Billie, Dixie, Gary, we miss and love them.  I will see you soon enough.

My memories are always of him having a smile on his face and that infectious laugh. He was always my friend. He will be missed . Prayers for the family. RIP my friend until we all meet again. 


What is a hero? A man who devotes his whole life to god and his family. The lessons, the stories, the hours spent in your passenger seat. We went everywhere together and did even more. The voice, the smile, the gentleness in every moment, the twinkle in your eye. The laughter, the late night stacks and early noon coffee. The chair sliding across the floor and the change giggling in your pocket. The pain in your eyes looking into the distance, always followed by a “You know what peewee.”  You read me like an open book, probably cause you wrote it. You filled my life with so much love and greatness and set in motion some pretty big shoes to fill.  The boat rides,  walking in the woods with you secretly mad at me for shaking so loud I scared everything off. The motorcycle rides, the holding on tight to the back of the four wheeler and praying you didn’t go up a big heel and fall backwards on me, came pretty close twice. The late night concerts, oh how I love to hear you sing. Rivers, waterfalls, mountains and caves, rodeos, arrowheads, and animal tracks galore. You taught me how to look at the whole picture, and then turn it around. You taught me how to love, how to be a friend, and how to always give back. My girls will tell their kids all about you, our very own Santa Claus; turned Guardian angel.  The strength you had was out of this world, so strong you stole the hearts of everyone you encountered.  Without a doubt “my greatest love”.  I can only imagine what your going to get into in heaven, but we all know you’ll talk your way out of it. I’m not gonna ask you to save me a spot, you’re already on that,  But what I am going to ask you is to remember always how proud this world you built called “family” is of you.  I pray in your last moments you found that forgiveness you always searched for, no man ever deserved it more. I love you so big poppy, and I will forever be proud to be the granddaughter of a true hero.  Go rest now for your work is done. 

I love you Uncle Roger . You spoke my language when no one else could. I remember swinging at Skytop from the overhead cranes! You were the coolest uncle ever! You will live in my memories forever.

My Uncle Roger was kind, thoughtful, and kept me laughing through my childhood. He never hesitated to help when help was needed. When my mom passed, he was one of the ones there to help me through it, offering calm and words of advice.  Rest easy uncle, you will be missed.

It hard to know that you are gone, but I also know your are happy, and dancing. You showed me so much in my life, showede how to follow God. Thank you for showing me all the wonderful things you did, I love you pop, say hi to the family for me♥️

Carlene and family I am so sorry for y'all loss. God will be your refuge and your strength during this time  of sorrow. - Psalm 91:2.  While it is so hard to let loved ones go, we know there is rest in the arms of our loving  Savior. Rest in peace Roger, your struggles are over. 

Oh Roger!You were one of my very favorite cousins.You never ever treated me like the little annoying cousin.When ya'll would come visit you always included me and treated me like one of your kids lol...Save a place for the rest of us and find a sweet spot to fish.Till we meet again cuz..Love you

For My Daddy.:  I will never forget how much you love me.  How you thought me how to respect my elders. I will never forget the promises I made to you. I will always respect mom in the decision she makes. I will always be loyal to my family. I will love you until I die or Jesus comes to take me home .  I will read my Bible daily and say my prayers I love you daddy you are my hero my best friend in the light of my life. I will never forget your smile or the way yourEyes twinkled when you laugh and the light in your eyes in eyes when you laughed . Or your love for. God You touched so many hearts you had no enemies and you spread the word of the Lord every where you went. Daddy if sometimes  I forgot to tell you how much I love you I’m sorry. I will tell you every day of my life until I die. I’m so proud of you Daddy. Thank you for giving me life. And loving me the way you did . I love you to The moon and back and back. Until we meet again.  I will wrap my arms around you when I get to see you in heaven and we shall praise the Lord together. Goodbye Daddy I love you.

There are too many memories for me to count. Thank you for everything you taught me, being exactly who you are, and loving me as your own. You’ll always be my sunshine. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Save me a spot on the riverbank, Pop. I’ll see you soon enough.

God gained  another angel, i am sorry for your loss. I am keeping everyone in my prayers.

So sorry to hear this. I didn't know you but only through my mom and family. Now you have your angel wings fly high..

My deepest condolences to the Family. He was a loving Father,brother,  and Grandfather. I have so much wonderful memories of this man and he will truly be missed. My heart  goes out to Shylonda, Wayne and all his precious Grandkids that He loved dearly.
