

Ronald Dennis Garlock, age 72, passed away on the 9th of September 2014, at his home in Montgomery, TX, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. He was born on 25th of February 1942, in Des Moines, IA, son of William and Irene Garlock and stepson of Henry Garlock. He had lived in the Houston area for over 50 years and was owner and operated Gulf Parcel Service, Inc. from 1971 until his retirement in 2010. Ron shared many passions and interests with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. His priority was his unbounded love of his wife, children, and grandchildren. Ron shared smiles, sage advice and his sense of humor. He was always smiling, surrounded by family and friends. He was the model of love, caring, and most of all, sharing. Ron had an extensive collection of arrowheads and Indian memorabilia that he had been collecting since he was 5 years old. He also enjoyed his 1957 Chevrolet Panel Truck with which he won various trophies. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Hedy, children Diane Bredeson (husband Scot, children Justin and Zach) and Rick Garlock (wife Laurie, children Kyle, Lindsie and Clayton), sisters Karen Long (husband Mike) and Carol Carr, and brother Warren (wife Vickey). Visitation will be on Friday, 12th of September 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Memorial service will be on Saturday, 13th of September 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX. 77303.
