

Funeral services are planned for Rosa Lee Castleschouldt Poland, formerly of Conroe. She was a third generation native of Montgomery County and a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church. Rosa Lee passed away in Houston, Texas, Sunday, June 27, 2010. She was born March 11, 1925 in Willis, Texas to the late Rosa M. and Julius S. Castleschouldt. Her greatest role in life was that of being a wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to family and friends. Her passions included music, dancing, cooking, and politics. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Clayton P. Poland; her siblings, Horace, Pete and Tunney Castleschouldt, Mary Polk, Lois Jenkins, Shirley Andrews, and Josie Gibbs. Her survivors are her daughter, Glenna Poland Marek; son, Daniel K. Poland; grandson, Jeff E. McGinty; great grandson, Tyler McGinty; and special niece and nephew, Ruthie Martin and Jeff Polk. Numerous nieces and nephews survive.
The family will host a visitation on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, Texas 77303. A Memorial service will be hel on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 3 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Marshay Moore officiating. Graveside services will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in the memory of Rosa Lee.
