Rosine "Rosie" Nellie Nassal was granted her angel wings on January 14, 2021 after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Covington, Louisiana, her final resting place. Her kind heart and spirit will be greatly missed.
Rosie, also known as MawMaw, was born on January 6, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was raised by her loving parents, Charles and Mildred Price. She met the man she would later raise 5 children with, Howard (Don) Nassal, at Wonder Bread in St. Louis working as a secretary. Don would bring in his route paperwork to Rosie and linger holding her hand. And it's there where their love began.
Don and Rosie married on November 5, 1955 in St. Louis. From there, they moved with their family to Illinois, Texas and Louisiana making new lifetime friends along each journey. MawMaw enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren by rocking and cuddling them each and every time. She was an avid animal lover and she leaves behind her precious fur baby, Tina. She is survived by 4 children, Cindy Reynolds (Ken), Donna Olsen (David), Craig Nassal (Lisa), Linda Lockridge, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Nassal, a son, Barry Nassal and her parents.
