

Sarah Faye Holland, a life-long resident of Conroe, Texas was gracefully welcomed into eternal rest on the night of August 11, 2024 at the age of 79. Sarah left this life holding hands with her adoring husband and surrounded by her daughters in the home they built together.
Sarah was born on January 31, 1945 in Navasota, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick Heintz Sr. She was the third of seven children, grew up in Conroe, Texas and graduated from Conroe High School in 1964. She met the love of her life Jerry in 1963, and their love story began and remained exceptionally strong for sixty-one years. Sarah and Jerry married on April 24, 1965, at Sacred Heart Church in Conroe, Texas. They proudly raised a family together and celebrated grandchildren and great grandchildren together. "Nana" referred to her grandchildren as "her life's greatest accomplishments". Sarah and Jerry were inseparable and shared a love story that influenced those around them, especially on the dance floor. Sarah was known by her friends and family as a committed and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She approached everything in life with grace and tenderness. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church in Conroe, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and served many years on the Sacred Heart PTO. Sarah was very proud of her faith and found her greatest joy in the simple things in life.
Sarah is preceded in death by her father John Patrick Heintz Sr., mother, Elline Katherine "Dolly" Heintz, and sister Dorothy Heintz Stinson. Survived by her husband Jerry of 59 years, daughter Stacey Creighton and husband Brian, daughter Amy Smith and husband Jerome, grandchildren Bryce Creighton and wife Payton, Bailey Asay and husband Kaleb, Brock Creighton, Sarah Kate Hegemeyer and husband Billy, Ty Smith and wife Brittany, Clayton Smith and fiancé Haley Roth, great grandchildren Myles Fisk, Hudson Hegemeyer, Hayes Hegemeyer, Creighton Asay, Charles Asay, Koda Asay, Beck Creighton and Blayne Creighton. Also survived by her brother Pat Heintz and wife Nancy, sisters Carolyn Heintz, Betty Gibson and husband Seth, Shella Dodson and husband Mike, Stephanie Hill and husband Jim and her special best friend Tina Padon. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends are also left to cherish Sarah's memory.
Sarah leaves a legacy of faithfulness, devotion, love and acceptance for others as she smiled and danced through life no matter what came her way.

A special thank you to Devotion Hospice for their tender care they showed our dearest mom during the most delicate hours of her life. The family will honor Sarah with a memorial service Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe. A private graveside service will be held at Martin Hill Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas.
