Sharon Kay Ashworth, aged 72, passed away on October 22, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. Born on September 25, 1952, Sharon spent many years contributing to her community through her work at Gibson's and Walmart, where she formed numerous lifelong friendships.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Ronald Dean Ashworth; her son, Eric Eugene Ashworth; grandchildren, Maygen Ashworth, Jaime Coleman and Taylor Ashworth; great granddaughter, Riley Coleman; and a loving extended family including her brother, Dennis Henderson; sisters-in-law, Debbie Henderson and Martha Graham; nephews, Dennis, Daniel, Drew, Barry, Keith, David, Kevin, Jimmy, Denis, Tommy, Terry and Brett; nieces, Gerrie Marrs Lockett, Marlene Marrs Driggers, Renee Armstrong, Kim Paul, Michelle Ashworth, Rebecca Fletcher, Kolleen Mask, Cindy Watson-Senor, Starr, Lona, and Cherita; cousins, Linda Watson, Debbie Martinez, and Jerry Sue Bowen; as well as many great-nieces, nephews, and second cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Gene Henderson and Cora Lee Henderson; son, Ronald Dean Ashworth, Jr.; and her siblings, Sherry and James.
Her life was marked by a deep connection with those around her, reflected in both her professional and personal relationships. Sharon will be remembered for her enduring relationships and the warmth she brought into the lives of those she met.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 28, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas with a graveside service to follow in Kidd Cemetery, 10658 Meachen Rd, Conroe, TX 77302.
Serving as pallbearers are Dennis Henderson, Sr., Dennis Henderson, Jr., Daniel Henderson, Taylor Ashworth and Jack Henderson.
