Throughout her 80 years of life she was a devoted grandmother, mother, wife, and friend whose warmth and love enriched the lives of everyone around her.
Sherron was born on August 8, 1943 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to the late Clifford Hare and Bernice Teskie. Sherron and her family moved to New London, Texas, where she graduated from high school and went on to pursue higher education at Baylor University. Sherron’s bright intelligence earned her a bachelor’s degree and a certification as a secondary education teacher. While at Baylor, she met and fell in love with her husband whom she married on May 26, 1964. They were later blessed with their daughter in the year of 1967.
Sherron had a career in real estate accounting and, upon retirement, actively volunteered with several organizations in Montgomery County and was a part of numerous social clubs and associations. She enjoyed her weekly canasta with friends, and had a passion for gardening while being surrounded by the beauty of nature. She also deeply valued the time spent with her two grandchildren as they grew up, including their travels, baking, crafts, and playing games.
Sherron is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Nelson; their daughter Marla and her husband, Phil Clark; as well as her grandchildren, Amber York and Summer and her husband, Beau Ballard. She is also survived by her three siblings, LeAnn Hare, Paul Hare, and Lyn Hare; and their families, as well as many dear friends who will always cherish the memories they shared with her.
A Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to begin at 1:00 PM in the Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel in Conroe, Texas.
