Lee was born on August 12, 1934, in Houston, Texas and married Norman “Hap” Whitaker in October of 1954.
Lee and Hap had a strong faith and believed in supporting missionaries doing faith-based work, as well as helping local people in the community who were in need. She is survived by her grandson Scott Mollett and wife Jill; son Bill Peirce; son Rob Peirce and wife MJ; four grandchildren: C.J. and husband Ben, Marco, Diego, and Fernanda; and three great-grandchildren: Christian, Avery, and Abby.
