

Kenneth Siegfreid Winsmann was born on January 26th, 1938, in Houston, Texas. He passed away peacefully on January 29, 2022, surrounded by his children. Kenneth grew up in Houston from humble beginnings and worked hard his whole life for a better life for his family. He proudly served in the military as a Paratrooper where he made 27 jumps. He felt most at home on the ballfield where he enjoyed coaching and watching his kids play. Kenneth worked for Union National Life Insurance and then Reliable as a debit insurance man. Working as a home service insurance manager, he made many friends along the way. His clients loved him and his co-workers adored him, especially when he brought his kids to play softball at the company picnic so his district could win every year. Kenneth was a fighter, both literally and figuratively. He fought cancer 3 times and won. He fought hard for his family and everything he believed in. Kenneth’s passions were related to his children, coaching and attending every single game Kenny and Tammy played. He was devoted to the love of his life Shirley, and they enjoyed playing shuffleboard, the slot machines, the Dallas Cowboys and loving on their animals. He was also an avid dog lover who let you know immediately that his dogs lived there and anyone else was just a visitor. His last few days he was telling everyone that his dogs were with him on the hospital bed.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Shirley Lynn Reed Winsmann, both of his parents Alvin and Irene, his brother Robert and both of his sisters, Shirley and Gloria.
Kenneth is survived by his brother Alvin Winsmann, his wife Violet and their family.
Kenneth is survived by his son Kenneth Bruce Winsman and wife Wendy Winsman, their children Kenneth Winsmann, Jr., and his wife Leslie Winsmann and great-grandsons Hudson, Peyton, Sawyer and Maverick. He is survived by grandson Wesley Winsmann and fiance’ Treca DeLeon, granddaughter Carly Zeringue with her husband Tyler and great grandson TJ, and granddaughter Cassidy Winsman and her fiance Dawson Boatman. Kenneth is survived by his daughter Tammy Winsmann.
Kenneth is also survived by his stepson Jerry Ehrhardt, granddaughter Schyler Trevino with her husband Sergio Trevino, grandson Jace Ehrhardt, stepdaughter Tracey Viehe, granddaughter Tayler Juneau and her husband Rodney Juneau and his great-grandsons Abram and Levi.
