Stephanie Ann Ramsey, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend peacefully passed away surrounded by her beloved husband, Bob, and her family by her side on Jan 24, 2021 at the age of 64 at her home in Montgomery, Texas. She fought a long and courageous battle with COPD and cancer before being called home to be with the Lord.
Stephanie was born on June 27, 1956 in Painesville, OH to Stephen A. and Mercedes McKee Ondo. After graduating from Harding High School in Fairport Harbor, Ohio in 1975, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Ramsey of Mentor, Ohio on July 17, 1976.
In 1978, Bob and Stephanie moved to Texas where they welcomed son, Khodi, and daughter, Linsey. After settling in Montgomery, she established Stephanie’s Family Hair Care in 1983, and although she initially came into the lives of residents of the small town a stranger, she warmed the hearts of everyone she met.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mercedes Ondo and brother, Stephen “Butch” Ondo. She is survived by her faithful husband Bob of Montgomery, Texas, son Khodi of Montgomery, Texas, daughter Linsey Dean-Murphrey and husband Zach of Brenham, Texas, grandchildren Abby Martin, Kaidence Ramsey, Tashen Murphrey, Reiley Ramsey, and Violet Dean-Murphrey. Aunt Diane Marteney of Lakeland, Florida, aunt Joyce Lorenczi of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, sister Veda Dieterich and husband Gary of Avon, Ohio, sister Rebecca Hintlian and husband Aram of Natick, Massachusetts. Niece Erica Healy and husband Jim, nephew Kevin Dieterich and wife Lindsay, nephew Steven Ondo, niece Ali Hintlian, and niece Tori Meyer and husband Daniel. Numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends also survive.
Stephanie’s family would like to thank the community of Montgomery for their outpouring of prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
Funeral services for Stephanie Ann Ramsey will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:00 am at Cashner Funeral Home with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Plantersville, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home.
