Susan Myers

Susan Marie Myers, 78, of Conroe, Texas passed away December 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. Sue, as she was known to her family and friends, grew up in Canon City Colorado where she graduated from St. Scholastica Academy. She met and married Richard Myers in 1954 and they raised their family of 6 children in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas before settling in Conroe in 1972.

As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was involved as a PTA member, Girl Scout Leader, and Cub Scout Den Mother. Sue was a devout Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Parish for almost 40 years and active in the Soup Kitchen and Catholic Daughters.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Richard “Dick” Myers and is survived by her children, Debra Myers, Marla Myers, Laura Hendricks, Richard and his wife Aline Myers, Lynda Myers, and Steven Myers, by her grandchildren, Jessica Hendricks, Samantha Hendricks, Jacob Hendricks, Tristan Myers, and Giselle Myers and her brother Ted.

The family would like to especially acknowledge Patty Medina for the tender loving care she gave our mother for the past 8 years.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27 at Metcalf Funeral Home on 105 W from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the Rosary Service from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Frazier St in Conroe at 11:00 am followed by a reception at the church. Susan’s legacy of faith, kindness, and love are her lasting gifts to all of us.
