Terry graduated from McCullough High School and continued his education at Sam Houston State. He worked for the state of Texas as a parole officer and a hearing officer. He retired in 2019. Terry married Shanon Taylor McKinney in 1997 and has two wonderful cons, Blake Thomas and Kyle Taylor McKinney. He was also an avid cat lover with 5 cats at home.
Terry is preceded in death by his wife, Shanon McKinney, mother, Vera McKinney, father, Thomas McKinney, brother-in-law, Darrell Taylor and numerous grandparents. He is survived by sons, Blake and Kyle McKinney, sister, Becky Pachal and husband Joseph, nephew, Hunter Pachal all of Conroe, Texas and sister, Heather McKinney in Mississippi.
