

Terry Lee Osborn, 65, passed away at his home on September 28, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. Born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 2, 1959, Terry served proudly in the Air National Guard as a paratrooper, dedicating 7 years of service to his country. He was featured on the cover of ‘Soldiers of Fortune’ magazine leading his platoon. He was extremely talented and knowledgeable which lead him to various careers throughout his lifetime, his final, working for the City of Conroe as a Senior Engineering Inspector. Terry had just retired from that position. His desire in every job was to always ensure everything was done properly and safely. He won many awards for his ideas to improve the work environment. Terry enjoyed family, traveling, reading, art, taking pictures, creating/inventing, and his animals. He loved people and found talking with them on any number of subjects was stimulating. He was never afraid to try new things. He strived to continually learn no matter what it was. Terry had a true zest for living life to the fullest.
Terry is survived by his sister, Michelle Gifford and her husband Mike; brother, Chad Osborn and his wife Marie; children, Lang Baker, Monie Kay Prins and her husband Stephen, Lance Baker and his husband, James, Holland Dixon and his wife, Lindsay, and Kelly Dixon; nieces, Tiffany Gifford, Lacy Gifford, Amanda Nix, and nephew David Nix; grandchildren, Channing Prins, Jackson Prins, Elizabeth Prins, Alec Dixon, Gannon Dixon, Paxton Dixon, Madilyn Everett, Eliana Karam and Gabriella Karam.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Jack and Barbara Osborn, and his wife, Yvonne Osborn.
Terry will be remembered as a good person who had a loving nature: loving his country, and all his family and friends. He strived to make this world a better place as he passed through it. He left a strong legacy.
After retiring and contemplating his next chapter in life, he wrote on a white board in his kitchen: “I am free.” This was only a few days after retiring and a few days before his passing.
His ‘Celebration of Life’ service will be on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 3pm at Metcalf Funeral Home. It is located at 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe TX 77304.
No flowers please, but if you wish to donate in Terry’s memory, you may do so at any charity of your choice. The immediate family will bury his ashes in a family plot at a later date.
