Tommie Jean Story was born November 14, 1939 in Mexia, Texas and passed away in Conroe, Texas on December 11, 2014 at the age of 75. She retired from the Conroe ISD after 20+ years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, T.K. and Mary Ruth Fife Owens, her husband James Story and her daughter Betsy Hudgins. She is survived by her daughter Cara Hudgins Prudhomme of Katy, Texas; son Robert Clay Hudgins and wife Susan of Conroe, Texas; sister Joyce Vela of Magnolia, Texas; brothers Billy Ray Owens and wife Karen, and Ricky Owens and wife Pam, both of Bay City, Texas; grandchildren: Kayla Bachmeyer, William Hudgins, Halley Prudhomme, Sarah Kountz and Megan Kountz; and great grandchildren: Oliver Bachmeyer, Penelope Bachmeyer, Tyler Hudgins and Bradley Crow. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in the Garden Park Mausoleum Chapel at 11am. Entombment will follow the service.
