Veronica Young

Mrs. Young was born October 31, 1946 in Houston, Texas and passed away March 7, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas. A Graduate of Mount Carmel High School. She worked at many places throughout her life beginning with Foley’s, Travelers Insurance, Amato Grocery Store and KSTAR Country . Mrs. Young then worked to get her Real Estate license and began to work for Keller Williams.

She volunteered at Doctor’s Hospital, Conroe, Texas and served on many committees including Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo Committee, Conroe Area Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Conroe and Beta Sigma Fi sorority . An amazing Artist, she loved animals and was an avid at Tennis and Kickboxing.

She was preceded by her husband, Jess Young; her parents Alfred E. & Marie Marjorie Dobson; and brother, Alfred “Al” Dobson. She is survived by her children, Christine Amato, David Amato; grandchildren Avery Amato Cusack & husband, Deven Cusack, Mia Amato and Christian Amato; her sisters, Kieran Baker and Barbara Marsh. Step- Mother Barbara Kurtin. her stepchildren, Jeff Young and Aime Burns & Husband, Chris; step grandchildren Logan Young, Spencer Young, Colleen Burns, Andrew Burns and Ethan Burns.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family ask that you should choice Conroe Animal Shelter or the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
