

Funeral services for Wendell Joe Maxedon will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 from 6pm to 8pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Wendell was born September 14, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee to Finley Bryan Maxedon and Zola McPhierson-Maxedon and entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2009 in Conroe, Texas. Wendell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe, a member on the Board of Advisors for the Lonestar Executive Airport, a proud member of the Lion’s Club, and an American Legioneer. He had a passion for flying which he portrayed as a pilot and flight instructor. Wendell was also a member of the Mooney Aircraft Pilot’s Association, M.A.P.A, to which he contributed many written articles based on his well known authority on aircraft. Wendell was a beloved father, grandfather and cherished husband. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife, Ilene Maxedon; daughters, Linda Lorch and husband Dan and Wendalene Whited and husband Jay; sons, Rickey Maxedon and wife Cirila and Leonard Maxedon; sister, Lila Wilson and husband Lonnie; brother, Bryan Maxedon and wife Susie; grandchildren, Scott Maxedon, Carl Maxedon, Remington Sherwood, Nathan Lorch, Redmond Sherwood, Rachael Bradham, Cameron Maxedon, Chandlar Lorch, Logan Whited and Savanna Whited; great grandchildren, Deacon Maxedon and London Bradham; lifetime loyal friends, Charlie and Pat Brown. Numerous other relatives and a host of loving friends also survive. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Wendell’s name to The Conroe Area Lion’s Club.
