Wendy Harriet Reising Wilemon passed away peacefully in her home with loving family members by her side on December 28, 2020. A longtime resident of Oak Ridge North, Texas, Wendy was born on October 7, 1939 in Evanston, Illinois. She was adopted by her parents Harry and Helen Reising whom she loved greatly. Wendy had a long and varied career in multiple cities including Chicago, St. Louis, San Diego and Houston. She retired as a loan officer from Citibank in 1994 and began wonderful adventures in retirement alongside the love of her life, husband, Ken Wilemon.
Wendy and Ken loved spending their summers in the cooler climate of Colorado’s mountains where they developed a close circle of friends at their RV campsite. Wendy truly loved life and she and Ken modeled how to live it to its fullest. They took trips around the country on their motorcycle and later in their RV, they spent time boating and enjoyed many good times with their friends and family. After 27 years of marriage, Ken passed away in 2013 leaving Wendy to patiently wait for their reunion.
Wendy was a light that shone brightly on those fortunate enough to know her. Her laugh was infectious and she beamed when she smiled. She kept her mind sharp over the years by playing games and puzzles and rarely watched TV, except for Jeopardy! She loved music by Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers and The Statler Brothers.
Wendy is survived by son Jay Wilemon and his wife Sheryl, daughter Pam Wilemon and her fiancé Cliff Parsons, son Wade Wilemon, and son Randy Carmical and partner Todd Brazzon. She adored her grandchildren, Mallory Duggan and her fiancé Ariel Sanchez, Dusty Wilemon and his wife Tonya, and Carsen Wilemon. Nothing brought joy to her more than her great grandkids, Colt and Maebry Wilemon, who affectionately referred to as Great Wendy.
