Theresa was my best friend in childhood into my teenage years. We had good times together. We grew up in church together and were inseparable. I am still in disbelief that she's gone. She had such a good heart, loved people and loved God. I hold onto the good memories. 

I pray God's continued strength and comfort to her family, for he is the God of all comforts. Hold close to all the good memories. May it bring smiles to your face and joy in your heart.

Arlett…she welcomed me with kindness at a time when I barely spoke the language and was still finding my place in this country. From the beginning, she made me feel seen, supported, and never alone.  

She had a rare wisdom and a deep faith that lifted the people around her. Our conversations about life, about God, and about purpose are moments I will always carry with me. She had a way of guiding gently, with patience and grace, helping others grow without ever asking for anything in return.  

Her love, her wisdom, and her quiet strength left a lasting mark on my life. I will miss those conversations and the light she brought into every room.  

Thank you for loving me like family. You will always be remembered with deep gratitude and love. Today is a day to celebrate and honor your life. We love you forever ❤️

I have been so blessed to share friendship with such a wonderful soul that God endowed with many of his gifts. Arlett never held back her expression of  love, and kindness throughout our relationship and was always willing to help when she sensed a need. Her enthusiasm, wisdom, altruism, constructive criticism were outstanding characteristics of her God-given personality that she aptly shared to inspire me and others. May all who were privileged to know her continue to live out her legacy.. To her husband Ancel, sons Lakkari and Sai, sister and all family members, be comforted knowing Arlett lived her life Godly, purposely, and richly to enhance God’s Kingdom. Her soul is now resting peacefully and waiting to be rewarded of her good works and labor in the LORD. My sincere condolences.

We send our heartfelt condolences as we honor someone who has been part of our lives since our youth. Our families first connected decades ago at our church in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY where our father, Bishop James Hoskins, served as Pastor and our mother, Lady Lillie Hoskins, served faithfully as First Lady. It was in that community — full of worship, fellowship, and shared history — that our bond with Arlett and the Bagalue family was formed, and it remained meaningful across the years and miles.

Each of us carries cherished memories of her:
• 	I remember Arlett’s very first overnight stay at our home. My mother reminded me to make sure she felt welcomed, but she made it effortless. In her quiet, gentle way, she stepped into our sister circle as if she had always belonged — warm, natural, and at home. From that night on, she was never just a visitor; she became family. — Camille
• 	We go back before my teen years, and I still smile at the memories — from nights spent at each other’s homes, to you pronouncing “cucumber” as “ca‑COOM‑ba,” to summer camp, to more recent years when you shared the crafts you made with your kids. • 	I was stunned and saddened to learn that my sweet Theresa — “Ter Ter” — had passed on. Not long ago we spent hours talking, laughing, reminiscing, and sharing love. Our beloved Theresa, affectionately called Ter-Ter by families in Boston. Words cannot express our feelings but God sees and only He knows! You manifested the love of our Savior and King in every aspect of your life. You took pride in your accomplishments, loved unconditionally, exercised wisdom and knowledge. You were astute with professorial calmness. You were my confidant. A week didn’t go by without us talking or texting ending with “I LOVE YOU!” Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Haven! Kenneth, Lakkari and Jiraiya, you are LOVED!!

Ter was a  kind beautiful soul. When I was a teenager, I used to spend my summers in New York with her and Auntie Mildred.
I can remember her rubbing lotion on my legs very rough and saying "Come mek mi care yuh".  😆  I felt so loved! ❤️ 💙 💜 
I will miss my beloved Ter! She cared so many people and we are blessed to have known and loved her.

My deepest sympathies  to Ken, Lacari and Sai .  It still seems  unreal that this has happened Theresa was soo full of life . I'm going to miss our talks . We cant  question  what God has done he knows why. Sleep in eternal peace Theresa God has you in his arms  and he will continue to keep your little family safe.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew and loved Arnett. I had the pleasure of working with her giving feedback on her dissertation, and I grew to admire her charisma, was inspired by her constant love of family, and count our brief times together as a unique and powerful blessing. Arlett spoke of love and of our Lord in every conversation. She was undaunted in various community activities, and her persistence and resilience were  beyond description! I think we talked so much on the phone, I will forever remember her distinctive voice and her laugh, contagious at times.
A woman of character and commitment to others, she leaves her mark on so many. I pray her family will be comforted knowing Arlett was loved and I am just one of many who will miss her.

The Greek leader Pericles said, “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”  Ancel, Sai and Lakarri, we pray despite the deep grief you feel in this tragic loss, you will smile and celebrate the gifts Arlett gave you, the most priceless of all tapestries, woven by her love and the life of a beautiful woman, wife, mother, sister, friend…. she who loves you fiercely and forever, Dr. Arlett Tracey-Gayle.

Theresa loved loudly, always looking out for the welfare of others. She did not wait to see things happen, she was one of those individuals who made things happen!

Mrs. Arlett was one of the most loving, wonderful, intelligent, and beautiful women I have ever known. Her presence was so genuine that you could feel her spirit the moment she walked into a room. She cared deeply for her family and for everyone blessed enough to cross her path. We lost an amazing woman, but Heaven gained a precious angel. Rest peacefully, sweet angel. My deepest condolences to the family 💐.

Dearest Tracey, Never in a million years would I imagine that Sunday March 1, 2026 would be the last time I hear your laughter. We chatted and shared our usual with the promise  of tomorrow. Our promise has been silenced by death, but your memory will never be. Tracey spent most of her adult  life in service to her community. Community Service was the core of her being. Your memory will not and cannot be silenced not even by death itself. Rest well my friend until we meet again.

This is a photo that I added from 1995. That Teresa sent me in our younger days. She wrote on the back of the the picture Love you Ter-Ter. The Bible tells us that Love is the greatest commandment of them all. I will truly miss the love between cousins, from the time we spent in New Your when we visited or the times when Ter-Ter came to Boston ;to visit with family and the countless times when you and Rickey get up early and make toast with bologna and ketchup for breakfast. Then there were times when she shared a photo or two from Florida celebrating her mom's birthday, or when we just checked in to make sure all is well with our families. These are memories that  I will always cherish.

Arlette was always an active contributor to the first ever South Florida Regional Youth Ambassador board for Type 1 diabetics alongside Jiraya. It is so special that they helped us launch and sustain this beautiful community which supports young newly diagnosed as well as veterans of t1d. May Arlette’s memory be a blessing to her family and community and may her legacy of reaching beyond herself to support others in need inspire her family and others. She will be greatly missed.
