Bertrand Emil Levasseur

Levasseur, Bertrand Emil, 101, of North Lauderdale, went to be with the Lord May 12, 2016. Bertrand was born February 2, 1915 to the late Joseph and Athala (Turcotte) Levasseur. He was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan and on his 99th Birthday was asked to throw the first pitch at a game. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Celia in 1999, daughter, Carol Messier, son, Dennis Levasseur and siblings, Jeannette Michaud, Yvonne Gagnon, Etienne Nadeau, Lucienne Levasseur, Armand Levasseur, Adrien Levasseur, Juliette Levasseur and Marguerite Bacon. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Sr. Rita Levasseur, grandchildren, Christopher (Lynn) Messier, Raeann (Todd) Auton, Courtney MacIntyre, Cassondra (John) Ferro, great grandchildren, Nicholas Messier, Krista Messier, Faith Messier, Raegan Auton, Madison Auton, Ty Auton, Connor MacIntyre, Cole MacIntyre, Camryn Ferro, Kylie Ferro and several nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Bertrand’s memory to Holy Cross Cancer Center, 4725 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308 or contact the Holy Cross Development office at 954-229-8562. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 27, 2016, 11:00am at Assumption Catholic Church, 2001 South Ocean Blvd. Lauderdale By The Sea, FL 33062
