

Charles Rue Beckett, a beloved and cherished husband of 54 years, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 80 on November 21, 2025. Born on April 3, 1945, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Charles was the son of Charles A. and Marguerite (Saybe) Beckett, both of whom predeceased him. He was a resident of Coral Springs, Florida for 30 years and grew up in Rancocas, New Jersey.
Charles was a hard-working man who dedicated his life to service and community. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving as an airman during the Vietnam War and earning five air medals for his service. He graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, and furthered his education at Chowan College before graduating from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in Printing Management. His career included working for the Federal Government and over 25 years as a courier.
Charles was married to Nancy Sampson, with whom he shared a loving family. He is survived by his two children, Justin Beckett and Tracy (Jeremy) Butterfield, and three grandchildren, Jacob Butterfield, Oliva Butterfield, and Alexia Beckett. His brother, Leslie Beckett, predeceased him.
In his personal time, Charles was an avid music lover and enjoyed golfing, watching movies, and riding dirt bikes. He loved traveling to California, New Jersey, and West Virginia, and was an avid fan of hockey, football, and baseball. He was also involved in his community through the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
A visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL, on December 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A committal service, with military honors, will take place at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, FL 33449, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 12:30 pm.
Charles Rue Beckett will be remembered for his dedication, love for his family, and his passion for life.
