Foley-Mayone , an MSW with a speciality in addictions on February 14, 2012. Gary earlier proposed to Mary in 1987, however she declined his proposal as she felt the immediate task of Gary becoming a father to her four children could have hindered his musical career . Gary then asked to be the children’s Godfather. They met again on August 31, 2011 when Gary performed at St. Andrews Presbyterian. Within one month, Mary proposed to Gary and they wed on February 14, 2012 in a simple service at Gary’s church; Northcreek Presbyterian of Coconut Creek, FL. The children remember him as loving, kind, generous and Gary always wanting people to see the best in themselves. They also shared that he wanted them to have a love for God, continue with good work ethics, and “ be true to yourself.”
He was an exceptionally loving and generous man, witty and able to make his family laugh. He was especially fond of Billy Graham and listened to the sermons frequently. Gary was passionate about serving his church family through his music and loved his Bible studies at home with Mary. He was a member of North Creek Presbyterian Church and played piano there for 20 years. Gary performed in 27 countries, is featured on more than 100 recordings and holds two music degrees.
