

Jerry is survived by his wife, of 52 years, Josephine Bieber; children, Justin and Connie, grandchildren, Lily Marie and Jace Douglas Bieber from Wellington, Florida; Brooke and Casey Hoffman, from Parkland, Florida; sister Lorraine Rosen and brother-in-law, Arnold Rosen from Boca Raton, Florida; Sister-in-law, Santina Meola; Brother-in-law Peter Meola, from Naples, Florida. Nieces and Nephews Randi, Steven, Danielle and Lauren Stein; Tracey, Brad, Jacob and Noah Horwitz; Brad, Meredith, Reese and Cooper Rosen. He is preceded in death by his Father Julius and Nancy Bieber and his Father-In-Law Salvatore and Mother-in-Law Nancy Meola.
Jerry was born on May 2, 1948 in Canarsie, New York. He graduated from Syosset High School, Syosset, New York, in 1966. Immediately graduating high school, he volunteered to serve in the United States Air Force earning Staff Sergeant status and served two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He married Jozie, in 1970. In 1973, Jerry earned his Bachelor of Science and later earned his MBA in 1977, both degrees from New York Institute of Technology, Westbury, New York. He earned a PhD from Newport University, in 1979, in Industrial Management. Jerry began his career working for Pan American World Airways. He was the proud father of two children. His children remember him as a kind, gentle and very funny father, who encouraged them to pursue their goals and to find happiness in life.
Jerry was accomplished at acting and singing and appeared in various high school plays at Syosset High School. He was a generous, witty, and dedicated individual who loved his family dearly and who was passionate about higher education. He was an active band parent at Ramblewood Middle and Taravella High School, Coral Springs.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11:0am at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida. Following internment at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida, the family will sit Shiva at the home of Lorraine and Arnold Rosen, 9064B Boca Gardens Pkwy., Boca Raton, Florida. Hours of calling are: Wednesday, January 18, following internment to 8:30 PM; Thursday, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM; ending Friday, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Rabbi Barry Silver will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jerry’s life.
