José is survived by his daughters, Clara Carvajal, neé Mansilla, her husband Jorge E. Carvajal, Maria Victoria Mancilla and Blanca Lucía Mancilla, her husband John Alexander Plaice; his grandchildren: Luis E. Carvajal, George A. Carvajal, Carolina Luciana Plaice Mancilla and Alejandra Lucia Plaice Mancilla; his great-granddaughters: Lilianna B. Carvajal, Sienna M. Carvajal, Rachel E. Carvajal and Kaitlyn A. Carvajal.

He was the husband of the late Blanca Lucrecia Prada García, having shared a beautiful love story. He proposed to her only after three months of having met her.

He was born in Cucuta, Colombia and was the son of the late Andres Mancilla Ducaos and Maria Reyes Hernandez.

José Vicente Mancilla Hernández, conocido también como Papi, Daddy y Go, murió en paz el 24 de marzo de 2023 en Deerfield Beach, Florida, Estados Unidos a los 83 años.

Le sobreviven sus hijas Clara Mansilla de Carvajal y su esposo Jorge E. Carvajal, María Victoria Mancilla y Blanca Lucía Mancilla y su esposo John Alexander Plaice; sus nietos: Luis E. Carvajal, George A. Carvajal, Carolina Luciana Plaice Mancilla y Alejandra Lucia Plaice Mancilla; sus bisnietas: Lilianna B. Carvajal, Sienna M. Carvajal, Rachel E. Carvajal y Kaitlyn A. Carvajal.

Le precede en fallecimiento su esposa, Blanca Lucrecia Prada García, con quien vivió una historia hermosa de amor y a quien después de solo tres meses de conocerla, le propuso matrimonio.

José nació en Cúcuta, Colombia, de sus padres Andrés Mancilla Ducaos y María Reyes Hernández, ya fallecidos.
