

JOSEPH V. SANTORO, of Tamarac, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Joe was born on March 3, 1930 in the Bronx, New York to Charles and Beatrice Santoro. Joe married Beatrice (Bea) Macisco on December 10, 1950. He is survived by his loving and cherished wife Bea and their 4 children; Diane, Donna, Joseph and John (deceased). He had 8 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them. Joe had two brothers Gus and Nick (deceased) and is survived by his sister Dorothy Asciutto. Joe had many nieces and nephews. Joe had a variety of jobs during his lifetime including running his father’s business as a butcher. However, his favorite job was working for Merrill Lynch as a securities investigator. He was very involved in the community working for Orangetown Volunteer Police and as an active church member at his parish Saint Catherine’s in Blauvelt, NY. and All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise, FL. Joe was a natural artist; he loved to sketch and paint as well as sing and perform in theatre. Joe served 17 months in the Korean War and has been honored for his service at the Tamarac Veterans Park. A memorial gathering at the KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, Fl. will be held on Sunday February 10, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm., with a service at 2:00 pm., Joe will truly be missed by all whose paths he had crossed. Family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or Muscular Dystrophy in his loving memory.
