Judith-Ann Franco was a devoted mother, dedicated teacher, and cherished member of her community, whose life was marked by love, faith, creativity, and unwavering strength. Judy was a deeply creative woman who expressed herself through everything she touched. Starting from her high school plays and yearbook design, she went on to excel in design school often using her beloved giraffes as inspiration to explore all different avenues, even creating wearable art (who remembers Spike?). She later used those professionally honed skills to throw her children epic themed birthday parties and to lovingly resuscitate her children’s school art projects. Her creativity also manifested in exploring new baking recipes with friends and, of course, in the energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas she brought to her classroom for more than 20 years. All while continuing her sewing business, altering and designing everything from ball gowns to baseball caps.
Regardless of the domain - fashion, parenting, education - her ability to bring a spark of creativity and passion was her remarkable talent, surpassed only by the kindness and strength that she personified. Judy lived as a true example of loving one’s neighbor and forgiving often.
Judy loved to travel and was always up for an adventure, visiting family in Colombia and Guatemala many times over the years—where her deep love of coffee was nurtured. More recently, she traveled with her children on European and Alaskan cruises, enjoying cappuccinos in Rome and lattes in Glacier Bay.
She grew up in Peekskill, New York, and made South Florida her home for the last 35 years. She is remembered by many incredible friends, loving family and her children Nicolle and Lucas.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, located at 9950 NW 29 St, Coral Springs, Florida, 33065, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:30 am.
