Tankovich, Louis, 71, of Tamarac, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Born in Gyorszentivan, Hungary, May 25, 1940 to Karoly and Anranka Tankovics. Louis fought in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, when he was 16 years old. He immigrated to America in 1959 and attended Fort Lauderdale High School where he met his wife to be, Frances. In 1962, he joined the U.S. Army. Louis worked at Real-Time Labs of Deerfield Beach as a manufacturing engineer before retiring. He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Frances, his son, Andre, his daughter-in-law, Melissa, grandsons, Miles and Finn and brother Andras and sister-in-law Yoli, nephews, Lojas and Tomas of Hungary. The family wil receive friends on Sunday, August 7, 2011, 2:00 - 4:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs with a memorial service beginning at 3:30pm.
