Piedrahita, Maria L., 68, of Tamarac, passed away August 3, 2012. Maria was born September 10, 1943 in Colombia to the late Jesus Piedrahita and Ines Rodriguez. She worked for many years as a secretary in financial services, both in Colombia and the United States. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Carlos Londono and his partner Wenceslaus Andrew, her sisters, Elsy Galarza, Cristina (Ramiro) Alvarez, brother, Humberto Piedrahita and her mother, Ines Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her father, Jesus Piedrahita and brother, Fernando Piedrahita. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 9, 2012, 4:00 - 7:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7:00pm.
