Marisa Teresa Faro

Faro, Marisa Teresa, 79, of Coral Springs, passed away August 21, 2019. Marisa was born March 16, 1940 in Calabria, Italy to the late John and Assuntina (Colosimo) Pascuzzi. Marisa immigrated to the United States when she was 7 years old and lived in Bradford, Pennsylvania. She moved to Boston after high school graduation and met John Faro. The couple eventually moved to Pittsford, New York where Marisa graduated from Nazareth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and worked as a high school business teacher. She was the first in her family to go to college. They then moved to Hudson, Ohio and eventually settled further south to sunny South Florida where she lived and worked for almost 40 years retiring from Aetna Insurance in 2010. Marisa was a people person and loved morning walks with her friends. She was an avid gardener and she was immensely devoted to her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Meredith Faro, Amanda Faro, previous husband and friend, John Faro and several cousins in Italy and Canada. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2019, 5:00 - 6:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00pm.
