Mary Manion Buckley

Mary was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 4, 1932, to the late William J. and Mary Endres Manion. She is reunited in heaven with her siblings: William Manion, Dolores Smith, and Francis Manion as well as her newborn son, Larry, Jr.

Mary, a 3-time Grammar School Spelling Bee winner, graduated from John Bartram High School (Class of 1950) in Philadelphia, PA. She fell in love with her high school classmate Lawrence W. Buckley and was married in 1954. Together they had four daughters: Mary Joe (Jimmie), Elaine Sands, Susan Dunleavy (Brendan) and Maureen Resta. She was happily married for 63 years, until he preceded her in death in 2017.

She leaves behind five grandchildren: Kathleen Ems (Bruce), Craig Sands (Yanellis), Daniel Dunleavy (Sandy), Sarah Resta, and Michael Resta. And eight great-grandchildren: Yaileia, Yalaina, Achaius, Yidalis, Allerius, Scarlett, Madilynn and Rylee. LOVE YOU, GREAT-GRANNY!

She will be remembered for her love of her family, watching her favorite movies, eating Blue Bell ice-cream, playing cards (Go Fish! and Magic-the-Gathering), and an incredible memory.
