Mr. Maurice Tric Tricarico Sr.

Tricarico, Maurice "Maurizio", 83, of Coral Springs, passed away January 13, 2011. He was born June 20, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Nicola and Adele (Del Prete) Tricarico. He served his country honorably during WW II in the U.S. Navy. At Age 22, he served the City of New York in the NYPD Vice Squad and retired after 20 loyal years of service. Maurice then became an executive with Cigna Insurance Corporation and retired after 18 years of service. At the age of 50, he obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration from CUNY-Baruch College with honors. He was an avid tennis player and gym enthusiast. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Anita, his children, Maurice (Kim) Tricarico, karen (Sal) Picataggio, Lisa (Ralph) Maviglia and grandsons, Joseph Santana, Nicholas & Marcus Tricarico, Sal Jr. & Steven Picataggio, Nicholas & Anthony Maviglia. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2011, 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00am at St. elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral springs. Interment will be at Oceanview, The Cemetery Beautiful, Inc., Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Maurice's memory to the American Cancer Society.
