Paul J Blackwood

Paul J. Blackwood, 79, of Coral Springs, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on August 24th, 2024. Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanne, of 57 years. As well as his loving children Stacey (Kevin) and Paul Jr. (Cindy); Grandchildren Chelsea, Ryan, Meaghan, and Madison. Paul is preceded in death by his father Wallace, mother Elizabeth, brothers Wallace and Douglas, and sisters Elizabeth and June.

Paul was born in Newton, MA to Wallace and Elizabeth Blackwood on January 11th, 1945. He attended Newton High School and went on to Cosmetology School to become a hairdresser. It was there he met the love of his life, Jeanne. They married on September 10th, 1966, in Everett, MA. Paul worked for the Florida Department of Transportation for over 30 years working his way up to the position of Permits Engineer. Paul had a love for sports and enjoyed rooting for the Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, and every team his grandchildren played on. He always had a smile on his face and was quick to say hello to anyone. Above all, Paul cherished his wife, family and friends. He will be missed by many.

A visitation for Paul will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 330716026. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Andrew Catholic Church, 9950 NW 29th St, Coral Springs, FL 33065, with a committal service to immediately follow at 11:30 AM Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 SW 4th Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432.
