

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan Morganelli Pignato, his children, Gina Heaton of Clarendon Hills, Il. and Rob Pignato of Coral Springs, Fl, his grandchildren Jack 15, Emory 13 Brody 11, and Cameron Heaton 9, and his sister Arlene Pignato Goldman of Winter Springs, FL,, He is preceded in death by his parents Katherine Tartao Pignato and Sebastian Pignato.
Bob was born on April 4, 1946, in Queens, NY to Sebastian and Katherine Pignato. He graduated from Flushing HS in 1964, then attended RCA Institute of Technology, and graduated with an Associate Degree in Electronics. His first job out of school was working on the Lunar Modular at Gruman Aero Space Corporation in Bethpage, NY. He went on to work for Xerox Technologies and was employed with them for 25 years. He met and married Susan Morganelli in 1969. The couple welcomed 2 children into their Bethpage, NY home and later relocated to Coral Springs, Fl where they lived for 36 years. His children remember him as a kind, patient father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Bob was an avid bowler in his younger years. He loved supporting his children in their sports endeavors and was an active member of their various Booster Clubs raising money to support the children’s activities. His pride and joy was his 1965 Ford Mustang which he and his son Rob enjoyed taking to local antique car shows.
A funeral is scheduled for Monday, January 9, 2023, at Kraeer Funeral Home on University Drive in Coral Springs from 4 – 6 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Condolences can be sent to Susan Morganelli Pignato at her home address. The family would like to thank Carol Robinson, his caretaker, the Coral Springs Police and Fire Department.
