Sandy James Candido

Sandy is survived by his wife, Linda Candido of Coral Springs, FL, children, Laura Taillon and husband Jason of Scottsdale, AZ ,Chris Candido and wife Naomi of Coral Springs; grandchildren, Ella Taillon and Amber Candido, siblings, Rosalie Tobey of Scottsdale, AZ, Paula Miller of Buffalo, NY. He is preceded in death by, parents, Sam and Mary Candido, of Buffalo, NY.

Sandy was born on August 21st, 1945 in Buffalo, NY to Sam and Mary Candido. He graduated from Oswego State University in 1968 with a degree in Education. He married Linda, his college sweetheart in 1969. After moving to Oneida, Sandy began working for Oneida Public Schools as a teacher. Over the next five years the couple welcomed two children into their home. Sandy's children remember him as a kind, dedicated and supportive father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Sandy was an accomplished and passionate long distance runner and completed many marathons; he also established the Oneida Silver Streak Running Club. Sandy was a dedicated individual who loved teaching and who was passionate about educating his students.
