Sue Ann (Nyland) Wiegley was born September, 1937. She was preceded in death by her loving parents J. Arthur and Verneita (Johnson) Nyland, her brother Arthur J. and sister Helen Mary and her son, Scott James Wiegley.
Sue is survived by her loving husband James Ralph Wiegley, married 61 years and three children: Lynne Wiegley, Christian Wiegley, Ramila Duwal, and four grandchildren (Casey, Nicholas, Elijah, and Aaron) and three great grandchildren (Aiden, Conner and Rylan).
She grew up on a farm in Michigan, spending her summers on the Upper Peninsula at Copper Harbor. After meeting Jim at the University of Michigan and getting married after graduation, they lived in Long Beach, Japan, New London, Key West, Syracuse, Elkhart, Plantation, San Juan Capistrano, and ultimately Parkland. Cooking, reading cookbooks, quilting, teaching, and taking care of her family were her very favorite things to do. Sue loved all things University of Michigan, especially the marching band.
Doing the right thing, helping others, listening attentively, making you feel special and cooking beautiful meals are all legacies she leaves with the people she has met, whether it is her family, former students and colleagues or complete strangers. She was lovely and kind beyond measure.
