Namor, Terrill Louis, 76, of Coral Springs, FL. passed away December 8, 2014. Terry was born on July 7, 1938 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Louis and Edna (Haid) Namor. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in St. Joseph, Michigan and attended Lake Shore College in St. Joseph, Michigan. He built several prize winning custom cars, Hotrods, drag cars and also promoted the Road Barons Car Club. For many years he was the manager of National Food Stores and also owned (and operated) Namor Competition Equipment, a high performance automotive speed equipment shop in Niles, Michigan. He found enjoyment in Drag racing, oval track stock car racing, and even built, (and owned) late model stock cars in both northern Indiana, and mid-western Michigan. His sons followed in his passion for auto racing and became involved in muscle cars, stock cars, open wheel modifieds, midgets and sprint cars. Terry moved to Florida in 1979 and began a career with Tom Endicott Buick as the service director, until his retirement 19 years later, after having a severe stroke that left him paralyzed on one side where he continued his passion for auto racing, amazingly, with only one functioning arm; building highly detailed, scale model race cars, and slot car race tracks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Sharen (Rocks), and children, Dennis Namor, Cynthia Namor, Scott Namor, Chris Namor, Shawn Namor and daughter-in-law, Melissa Namor, grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha and Amanda Namor and brother-in-law, Ronald (Dorothy) Rocks. He was predeceased by his Parents, Louis and Edna Namor, Aunt Bernice (Roscoe) Zebell, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roland and Joann Rocks and parent-in-laws Helmet and Clara Rocks. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2015, 2:00 - 3:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL. where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00pm.
